Every Life
Leaves A
Story

Some moments pass in an instant.
The feelings they create can last a lifetime.

Why photography matters

Life moves quickly. The music ends. The crowd disperses. Children grow up. Landscapes change. Milestones become memories. Yet certain moments stay with us forever — not because of what happened, but because of how they made us feel.

Throughout my life, I've been drawn to creative pursuits that create those feelings. As a DJ and music producer, I've always been fascinated by music's ability to transport people. For a few minutes, a great track can create freedom, escape and connection. It can take you away from the noise of everyday life and immerse you completely in a moment.

Photography shares that same power. Where music captures emotion through sound, photography captures emotion through light. Both have the ability to stop us in our tracks. Both allow us to reconnect with a feeling long after the moment has passed.

Over time, becoming a husband and father changed the way I viewed photographs. What once felt like images became memories. What once felt like moments became milestones. I began to appreciate that some of the most meaningful experiences in life are often the ones we don't realise we're living until they're behind us.

A glance across a dance floor. The energy of a festival crowd. The quiet beauty of a landscape at sunrise. A shared smile. A celebration. A fleeting connection between people.

These moments rarely announce their importance. They arrive quietly and disappear just as quickly. Photography gives us the opportunity to hold onto them — not simply to remember what happened, but to remember how it felt. To reconnect with a place. A person. A moment. A version of ourselves that existed only for an instant.

And for me, that's where the true value of photography lies.

Beyond the lens

The Other Half Is Music

Photography is one side of the story — the other is music. Under two names I produce and DJ: DJ Hussler, my hard dance and trance project, and House Husslers, where I dig into house. The same instinct drives both the booth and the camera — chasing the moment a room lifts, and holding onto the feeling it leaves behind. I also host weekly radio shows — on Bondi Radio and Groove London Radio — and Hussler Creative is the official photography partner of Bondi Radio, so the two worlds are never far apart.
